Try-Outs for Select Teams are June 16th at Big Rapids Industrial Field
Try-outs for 2009-2010 NUSC Select teams will be held Wednesday June 16 at 6:00 PM at the Big Rapids
Industrial Ball Fields at the corner of Catherine and Baldwin (across from Wolverine
World Wide). Players must pre-register for try-outs on-line. There is no cost to register for tryouts.
Try-out make-up day is Monday, June 21 at 3 pm.Please pre-register.
We play 8 games in the fall, and 8 games in the spring (HS teams are single
season) with the Grand Valley Soccer Association. Interested players
should bring soccer shoes, shin guards, ball and water bottle. Do not
wear a club jersey.
We are looking to build boys teams and girls teams in the U10, U12, U14 (full
year) and high school (single season) age brackets. The teams we end up
with will depend on player turnout, so encourage your soccer buddies to come
out too.
Northland United continues to offer, by far, the lowest cost US Youth Soccer
experience in West Michigan. Registration Fee for the 2009-2010 year
(dual season): $120 + $20 jersey deposit (home and away jerseys are
loaned to players by the club). A full year commitment is the
expectation, and the norm. However, single season play is possible ($95
fee + $20 jersey deposit).
Players on teams that elect to purchase an entire uniform will be
refunded $10 of their registration fee, and the $20 jersey deposit prior to the
start of the season. No check will be cashed until players are
selected.
Registration is at 5:30 PM. If you haven't played select soccer with
us already, you'll need to submit a copy of your birth certificate, and fill
out the 2010-2011 GVSA Player/Coach Registration Form. Returning
players will be provided with a preprinted form. All players must register
on-line with NUSC, and fill out the MSYSA
permission to travel form.
If you have any questions, or are unable to attend the try-out session, contact
Pete Balanda at 796-9460,
We are still looking
for coaches. Coaches are board approved, and must hold or obtain a
minimum of a USSF
E license. D license highly recommended for U14 and above.
